Cascades

The Edge of the Iceberg

“Cascades”, 2022, deals with light, space and abstract human physicality. Consisted by layers of tissue paper, it creates skin-like surfaces, mostly in blue, that ‘grow’ from the artist’s studio and ‘pour’ into the gallery space. This amorphic, organic, fragile and semi-transparent structure, or maybe creature, is inviting the viewer to reflect and contemplate in front of it, while the beaming light within it, echos one's own breath, and brings questions about the limits of life, will, tranquility and energy.
