Contemplative Nature

This series of diamond-shaped and square paintings emerged during the work on ARCADIA, while picking the vegetation for the site-specific installation at the Katonah Museum of Art. The misty, forest-like imprints of the local flora, leaves and pine needles, suggest frosted greenery compositions with resemblance to stained-glass work, also inspired by the museum’s windows and overall atmosphere, mediating between the outdoors and the institute’s indoors.

All works are diluted acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
