Happy to be featured alongside a great group of artists in a new book - "The Studio Image Project" - published by Friend of the Artists.

Check it out HERE for more details.

An artist’s studio place where ideas manifest themselves into form, and new things seem to appear from nothing. Whether it's in a lamp-lit spare bedroom or sun-filled warehouse, artists must be just as creative with their space as their art because the studio impacts the work made.

The images below document the spaces artists work in across the world. When most studio visits are virtual, we hope these images provoke that unique feeling of being in the studio. Later this year, we will publish some of these images in a book dedicated to the artist studio.

We have over 400 art studios to explore by continent.

Group exhibition, Towson University Center for the Arts Gallery

August 26 - December 10, 2022 Opening reception : September 8th, 2022

EX-tend EX-cess is an exhibition of contemporary abstraction through the medium of clay, that explores the concept of transformation through additions, growth, combinations, extensions, excess, endings and beginnings. The possibility of transformation suggests exiting a space and entering another, exiting the world of functional ceramics, and entering the world of abstraction. It encourages viewers to think beyond traditional structures, offering the opportunity for personal growth, echoing the theme of the works themselves.

My anticipated residency at NARS Foundation in Brooklyn NY, finally started, and I will be spending there the next several months.

I got a nice studio, facing the Hudson river, and very symbolically, the Statue of Liberty :-)

Started to work in my new studio with plants I picked up in the green areas in Sunset Park neighborhood, especially Greenwood Park.

Besides the studio space, NARS will provide the 13 international and New York based residents, studio visits with art professionals.

During the month of September, there will be an exhibition that will evolve during the coming months.

Please mark your calendars with the date for the Opening Reception: September 2, 6:00-8:00 pm.
